For many people, rainy weather is the saddest and saddest time. In such weather, I do not want to do anything, and even more so – go nowhere. But what if you still need to go?
Manufacturers from all over the world have made every effort to at least slightly change the attitude of people to this weather. The result of their work was the emergence of a wide variety of umbrellas, which is represented by a wealth of colors, shapes and sizes.
The history of the creation of umbrellas has many interesting pages. So, in particular, in the nineteenth century, innovators attempted to combine an umbrella and a lightning rod. A similar innovation was expressed in the presence of a long metal pin on top of the umbrella, and a wire that dragged along the ground. Moreover, the handle of the umbrella itself was wooden.
In the twentieth century in America, at a time when women began to actively defend the idea of gender equality, an umbrella was invented, in the design of which a siren and a can of tear gas were mounted. Such an umbrella was invented especially for girls so that they could protect themselves, if necessary, from robbers or hooligans. The principle of operation of such an umbrella, in addition to the main function, was very simple: a special button was located on the handle, when pressed, gas was sprayed.
But these innovations did not take root, for most people the umbrella was needed in order to either shelter from the rain and sun, or as a stylish accessory. Now no one is surprised by an umbrella in the shape of a chamomile or a heart. And for the kids, they even came up with funny little umbrellas with tails and ears.
But do not think that an umbrella is a purely female or children’s accessory. For men, umbrellas have also been improved: they can be compact or large with threaded handles. In addition, recently there are models that can be folded into the bag with the wet side inward, as well as large umbrellas on wheels for more convenient movement.
Umbrellas are very popular, which are able to change their color and pattern after getting moisture on them. It looks very impressive, but completely useless. But models that are able to predict the weather, receiving meteorological reports every 12 hours, are cool.
In addition, there are umbrellas that are equipped with LED lights, radios, compasses and clocks.
How events will develop further is unknown. But one thing is certain – a rainy day will no longer be dull and dreary.
